November's $400 Challenge

Even though my total debt seems insurmountable from here, mini-goals are not. In my tell-all introductory post Me vs. Debt I took a cold hard look at my debt and started brainstorming ways to beat it.

November's challenge is to put an additional $400 towards my highest interest debt. This means cutting out all non-necessities. Since holidays are right around the corner, this is going to take some serious creativity for gifts and cards. It also means I need to become aggressive about getting a raise and prepare to work extra hours tutoring. DVDs and books are getting re-listed on craigslist and amazon. Lights are going out. Sweaters are going on because the heat is going down. I'm on a mission. Look for a side bar right up at the top of my page to monitor my progress. Its starting at zero and heading toward $400!
