A few recent posts at From Mike and My Money Blog have sparked my interest in money/debt/credit related documentaries and videos. My original list included 7 videos. Thats too many for one post, so this will have to be continued. Here's four to get you started :)
Maxed Out
The subject of both aforementioned posts was Maxed Out. Although I remember enjoying Maxed Out the first time I watched it, it seems a little dramatic now... and not all too informative. It definitely plays on emotional response. Thats one way to spread the word. Some of the other videos I've found are definitely more educational. Have you watched this? What do you think?
The first two minutes of this clip are the highlight of the movie in my opinion :)
Here's the full video:
The Two Income Trap: Why Middle-Class Mothers and Fathers are Going Broke
This is an interview with Professor Elizabeth Warren discussing her book (published in 2003). She has some interesting yet bleak statistics on the middle class losing economic ground. I really liked this one. Towards the end she discusses a meeting with Hilary Clinton - kind of would have liked to hear more on that. Anyways, here is the streaming video:
Secret History of the Credit Card
Well done documentary on the shocking (but no longer surprising) history of credit cards. A must watch for someone dealing with credit card debt.
Money As Debt
I found this via internet search. It has some good to know facts on the monetary system in America in kind-of-funny-kind-of-scary animated form. Beware socialist spin...
Have you seen any of these? Any recommendations?

I saw Maxed Out, depressing. I also just recently saw In Debt We Trust, which isn't so depressing, but also not on your list. ;)
I'm going to watch the other few in a minute.
Mike
I stayed up to watch Money as Debt. That certainly was interesting. Kinda scary though, makes it kinda seem the end is near.
@ Mike - I was going to include a link to In Debt We Trust, but I couldn't find a full video. I agree, its much less depressing than Maxed Out.
I have to agree Money as Debt was a little scary. Really makes the push for total socialist reform there at the end. Not saying I'm a socialist, but I have to say I agree that our economy doesn't seem all that sustainable.
Time to take a break from the debt movies... We're here, now and we can deal with it on our own terms. I'll make sure to follow up with something optimistic - no worries :)
